Scope and scoring

The study compares 10 European cities using the share of stays offering air conditioning and pool access. Air conditioning carries 70% of the score and pool access carries 30%, reflecting the more direct role AC plays in cooling a room.

Data transparency

The accommodation percentages and city scores are concept data. The source, extraction date, eligible inventory, normalization formula, and rounding method require verification before publication. Temperature values provide context and do not affect the Overall Score; their source and reference period also require verification.

This index measures amenities shown in accommodation listings, not citywide heat resilience or heatwave safety. Amenities and availability can change, so travelers should check each property’s current facilities before booking.
